Create With Me

Music Production
My job as a producer is to ensure that every single element in the instrumental supports exactly what the vocal is trying to say, not to show off what my own production skills may or may not be. Everything has to work together in complete synergy so that we achieve the best creative result. All the while being creative with sound design, instrument selection and arrangement. Nobody needs something they already have. Melody (and drums!) are always the priority for me. I absolutely love producing. When all the tiny pieces start to fit together, I’m the first to go dancing round the room. Have a listen to a few recent bits of work here.

Songwriting
The production and the song almost always go hand in hand these days. That said, the song has got to come from the heart and say what you want to say. Although I love to write songs from scratch, I don’t often get the time anymore since I’m always co-writing with an artist. I did get a rare opportunity in 2024 to write a few acousti-pop tracks for the Lightsong Production Music sync album “Good Vibes Only” on my own. Just the same as the production, melody and rhythm are the boss. The catchiest and simplest idea that just “feels” right is the one you gotta go for.

Remixing
I have a real passion for remixing and a respect for it, since it gave me a chance to experiment and learn what I did and didn’t like about my own process in my early years of producing. It’s a chance to have free rein to create something totally different from the original track. An interesting and successful remix has to be commercially viable and at the same time unique. This can be achieved in multiple ways. I officially started remixing when I won the Universal remix competition for Anthony Touma’s track “Walk Away” in 2017. I was commissioned to do my first remix in 2018 but was remixing tracks for a few years before this. I have remixed for Hadi (Universal), Anthony Touma (Universal), Esther Eden (Universal) Leena Voxx (Independent), Wissam Hilal (Universal) Marcus Schulz (Blackhole Recordings), as well as a number of other independent artists. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re interested in working with me on a remix. I hope that you like what you hear.

Mixing & Mastering
If you want your latest record to have any chance at getting on radio or impressing an A&R contact, it has to be at top 100 standard. In my opinion you don’t need thousands of pounds worth of kit or plugins, just a well recorded/arranged production that fits perfectly around your song, with a fresh pair of ears and a thorough understanding of the tools available at the time of mixing and mastering. I was extremely lucky as my M&M tutor at University was mixing hits on a weekly basis. He was responsible for mastering “How Deep Is Your love” by Calvin Harris just to name one of his credits. Have a listen to a few recent mix and master projects that I have been involved with. I was also the music producer on all but the first one of these example tracks.
